Chef:  Sean Bement

Head Chef Sean Bement has been a professional in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. He found his love of food at DiPaolos 12 South Beech in Oxford Ohio, now the location of Stella 12 Beech, where his knowledge of food grew to match his passion under the instruction of George DiPaolo Jr.

From there, Sean continued to perfect his skills in some of the regions most famed kitchens including Jeff Ruby's Tropicana and Andiamo! Fine Italian restaurant, where he learned to execute it in the finest manners, expanding his abilities of presentation and understanding of flavor combinations.

With an already diverse base, Sean entered Jean-Robert's Pho Paris as Sous Chef. Under the instruction of Jean-Robert and Jared Whalen he developed the ability to integrate Asian flavors and style, while concentrating on the time honored French technique and presentation of Pho Paris. Sean continued as Sous Chef under Chef Michael Cisternino in Chicago's Tavern At The Park, managing two separate kitchens and facilitating parties of up to 250 people.

His career has brought Sean back to Oxford as Chef de Cuisine at Stella 12 Beech, a return to the building where his passion for food and cooking began. Combining previous experiences and approaches to cuisine, he expresses to patrons the importance of "thinking outside the box with unique and interesting flavor combinations, mixed with a touch of classic styles.

Bringing together "new American" and the more "home style" to create menus where hopefully, everybody will be able to find there own personal interpretation, and new favorites. I also change menus seasonally in effort to support local produce, and utilize the freshest available ingredients.
